Bali Tuna Exports Showing Recovery Indonesia, September 2, 13

Fresh and frozen tuna took the top spot for fishery commodities exported from Bali in the first five months of this year. The country shipped 5,114 tons of tuna at the value of almost USD 28.4 million.

While the volume of tuna exported rose by 3.88 percent, value increased by 5.35 percent compared to the same period of January to May last year. Other fishery products exported from Bali included skipjack, crab, lobster, shark fin, seaweed, grouper and decorative fish.

Japan is the main market for fishery commodities exported from Bali, followed by the U.S. and Australia. Other destinations for such products include France, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
