Monaco Bluefin-Free Sushi Lunch For Sustainable Tuna

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation will organize a lunch-debate tomorrow, March 25th, in order to prevent the extinction of bluefin tuna.

The lunch, which is a bluefin-free sushi menu, will have the presence of Marie-Madeleine Liesse, Director of Carrefour Monaco – major boycotting retailer – and Dr. Sergi Tudela, Head of Fisheries at WWF Mediterranean.

The intention is to announce that all shops, restaurants and chefs in Monaco are boycotting bluefin tuna: “This is a strong message on the sustainable consumption of seafood, especially from a Mediterranean range state, and the example of Monaco will boost the boycott momentum elsewhere”, states the press release of the event.
