2 Crew Members Of Missing Tuna Boat Rescued, But 1 Dies

Two of the four crew members of a Hokkaido tuna boat that went missing about a week ago were found drifting in a raft in the sea off Aomori Prefecture and taken to a hospital by helicopter Wednesday, but one of the two was later confirmed dead, Japan Coast Guard and hospital officials said.
The one who died was identified as Kingo Sawada, the 52-year-old captain of the 19-ton Kyoei Maru No. 21. The other crew member, Kiyoshi Asakura, 29, was able to talk and told hospital staff that a fire had occurred on the long-line tuna fishing boat due to an electrical fault.
